First December has been designated as World AIDS Day. It is a day to remember those who have been infected with HIV around the world. The number of people living with HIV is continuing to rise in every part of the world. This year mark the 20th anniversary of World AIDS Day. In 1988 WHO declared the first World AIDS Day in an effort to raise public awareness about HIV/AIDS. There are 33 million people living with HIV worldwide and 30.8 million are adults, 15.5 million are women and 2 million are children under 15 years old.
